What does Carios smell like?
Carios joined the Parfums de Marly line in 2025 as an extrait, and it plays the card of a taut spicy woody scent rather than a sweet one. The opening combines leathery saffron, mandarin, pink pepper and bergamot, both luminous and prickly. The heart is more aromatic than expected: pepper brings dryness, geranium a rosy, minty facet, and red thyme an herbal, almost smoky warmth. Ambroxan, tonka bean, vetiver and cedar lay down a mineral, woody radiance, softened by a touch of tonka. It evokes a leather jacket and sun-dried herbs, with an elegance more wiry than the house’s big orientals.
When to wear it
For evenings, the office or dates, from autumn to spring. It suits fans of dry spicy woods and long-lasting extraits.
