What does Tuxedo smell like?
Tuxedo joined Le Vestiaire des Parfums in 2015, a Yves Saint Laurent collection inspired by the couturier’s signature pieces, in this case the women’s tuxedo. Juliette Karagueuzoglou turned it into a spicy woody of nocturnal elegance. Patchouli leads, earthy and faintly chocolatey, brightened by sparkling bergamot and pink pepper. The heart blends a dark, powdery violet, resinous juniper and dry spices that suggest the satin of a jacket lapel. In the base, ambroxan, cedar and musk leave a smooth, warm, lightly ambered trail. It is androgynous and refined, refusing easy seduction.
When to wear it
For dressed-up evenings in autumn and winter; it pleases lovers of elegant patchouli of any gender.
