Greenley, launched by Parfums de Marly in 2020, brings a bright green freshness to a house better known for rich orientals. A tart green apple dominates the opening, backed by bergamot and mandarin. At the heart, cedar, musky cashmeran and a discreet violet create a soft, woody, slightly powdery texture. Oakmoss, musk, amberwood and patchouli give the base an elegant, almost chypre-like footing, without the severity of old-school moss. It is a refined, easy-to-wear freshness that suggests cut grass and morning light. The apple never turns candied, which keeps the whole composition crisp from opening to drydown.
