What does Althair smell like?
Althair, launched by Parfums de Marly in 2023, explores vanilla in a warm masculine register. Cinnamon, orange blossom, cardamom and bergamot give it a spicy yet bright opening. The heart centres on a creamy vanilla lifted by lemony, resinous elemi. The base is gourmand and woody, gathering praline, musk, ambroxan, smoky guaiac wood and tonka bean. It evokes a warm pastry dusted with spice, balanced by woods and the freshness of orange blossom. A modern, generous and sensual vanilla that fits the house’s oriental tradition. The orange blossom and elemi lighten the vanilla just enough, so it reads as warm skin rather than a bakery.
