What does Kuhuyan smell like?
Released in 2013, Kuhuyan is Parfums de Marly’s foray into the leather family, favouring softness over roughness. The opening pairs green violet leaf and jasmine, fresh and lightly floral, giving little hint of what comes next. In the heart, leather appears, supple as a well-worn saddle, softened by heliotrope and its powdery almond facets. The base combines ambergris, oud and tonka bean into a warmth that is woody, faintly animalic and smooth. The whole suggests luxury leather rather than raw hide, with a velvety texture that stretches out on skin for hours.
When to wear it
Wear it on cold evenings. It suits lovers of soft, refined leathers regardless of gender.
