What does Byerley smell like?
Byerley is named after the Byerley Turk, one of the founding stallions of the Thoroughbred breed. Parfums de Marly draws from it a tight, almost ascetic composition by the house’s standards. The opening is aromatic and cool: green, camphorous cardamom paired with lively bergamot. The heart is entirely woody, with smoky, slightly tarry guaiac and a dry cedar that adds verticality.
