What does Molecule 02 smell like?
Launched in 2008 by Geza Schoen, founder of Escentric Molecules, Molecule 02 extends the radical idea behind Molecule 01: presenting a single synthetic material on its own, with no composition around it. Here it is ambroxan, a molecule reminiscent of ambergris. There is no top, heart or base in the classic sense, just a woody, salty, mineral halo that shifts with skin and temperature. Some smell it intensely, others barely at all, yet people nearby often notice. The result is a clean, warm skin scent that fuelled the trend for minimalist molecular fragrances.
When to wear it
Wear it anywhere, alone or layered. It suits fans of discreet scents and anyone looking for a base for their own combinations.
