What does Dolce smell like?
Launched by Dolce & Gabbana in 2014, Dolce plays the tenderness card with white flowers rendered sheer. The opening pairs fresh neroli, a discreet juicy papaya and white amaryllis, which adds a green, watery note. The heart gathers white lily, narcissus and water lily: narcissus, often heady, is tamed here to a faintly honeyed touch, while the water lily brings a damp coolness. The base of cashmeran, musk and amber wraps it all in a soft, felted comfort, like clean cotton. Nothing is overstated; Dolce stays close to the skin with a deliberate innocence.
