What does Neroli Portofino smell like?
Released in 2011 as part of Tom Ford’s Private Blend collection, Neroli Portofino was composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux as a luxurious reading of the classic eau de Cologne. The name conjures the Italian Riviera, and the scent delivers on it. The opening is a burst of citrus: bergamot, mandarin and lemon, bright and slightly bitter. Neroli and orange blossom take the heart, green, luminous and faintly soapy. Amber, musk and angelica add a discreet softness and an herbal, almost musky touch that stretches the freshness further than an ordinary cologne. Think linen shirts, a waterside terrace, a late summer afternoon.
