What does Bitter Peach smell like?
Bitter Peach, launched by Tom Ford in 2020 in the Private Blend line, turns fruit into an object of dark, sensual desire. The opening presents a juicy, almost candied peach with blood orange, fresh cardamom and powdery heliotrope. The heart turns boozy: rum, cognac and a fruity, slightly woody davana create the effect of fruit steeped in liquor, lifted by jasmine. The rich, creamy base combines vanilla, patchouli, tonka bean, sandalwood and benzoin. The result is carnal, gourmand and warm, far removed from the fresh image of a summer peach.
