What does Wood Sage & Sea Salt smell like?
Launched in 2014 and composed by Christine Nagel, Wood Sage & Sea Salt avoids synthetic marine clichés to evoke a breezy English coastline. Sea salt opens with an almost mineral effect, softened by grapefruit and ambrette, whose musky facet suggests sun-warmed skin. At the heart, sage brings a dusty, herbaceous greenness while sea kale and red algae lend an iodine-like tang that never turns fishy. The drydown of driftwood and musk stays dry and airy, with a final breath of citrus. It is a textured, gritty freshness, closer to a coastal walk than a swim.
