What does L'Instant de Guerlain smell like?
Composed by Maurice Roucel and launched by Guerlain in 2003, L'Instant de Guerlain offered a remarkably luminous oriental, far from the density of the house's classics. The opening combines bergamot, star anise and orange blossom for a subtle, faintly liquorice freshness. The heart unfolds a lemony, creamy magnolia surrounded by jasmine and ylang-ylang, giving the whole a sunlit, almost honeyed glow. The base of amber, musk and sandalwood brings a soft, powdery warmth without weight, recalling Guerlain's ambery heritage while making it airier. It smells of golden light: refined, intimate and radiant at once.
When to wear it
Office or evening wear from autumn to spring; it suits lovers of luminous ambers and sophisticated florals.
