Composed by Carlos Benaïm and launched in 1989, a year after its feminine counterpart, Eternity for Men is a clear, approachable aromatic fougère. The opening is led by lavender, fresh and slightly floral, brightened by mandarin and green notes. The heart is strongly aromatic: sage and basil bring herbal freshness while jasmine softens it with a floral touch. The base combines sandalwood, amber and rosewood, whose flowery, faintly lemony nuance is fairly unusual in mainstream men’s perfumery. The overall impression is clean (pressed linen, a white shirt) a reassuring, easy scent that has crossed the decades without losing its coherence.
