What does Hacivat smell like?
Released in 2017, Hacivat borrows its name from a character in Turkish shadow theatre, a nod to Nishane’s Istanbul roots. Composed by Jorge Lee, it is often compared to modern fruity chypres but stands apart through a drier greenness. The opening combines juicy pineapple, grapefruit and bergamot, bright and tart. In the heart, cedar, patchouli and jasmine sketch a clean woody structure. Oakmoss and woods in the base bring a mineral, almost earthy bitterness that anchors the fruit. Extrait concentration gives it impressive power and longevity without ever feeling heavy.
When to wear it
Versatile for the office or evenings, especially in warm weather. It suits lovers of assertive fruity chypres.
