What does Sì Passione smell like?
A flanker of Sì launched by Giorgio Armani in 2017, Sì Passione keeps the fruity-chypre spirit of the original but pushes it towards a brighter red, just like its bottle. The opening is juicy, with crisp pear and tart black currant crackling under pink pepper. Rose leads the heart, supported by jasmine and a heliotrope that brings almond-and-modelling-clay softness with a powdery edge. The base pairs vanilla, cedar and patchouli into a sweet woody warmth without excess heaviness. Cassis, the thread running through the Sì family, stays perceptible to the end, lending a fruity liveliness that stops it collapsing into pure gourmand.
