The story of Rihanna
In the early 2010s Rihanna was one of the most popular artists in the world. In 2011 she launched her first fragrance with the American company Parlux: Reb'l Fleur, a name that plays on her album Rated R and on the idea of a rebellious flower. The deep red bottle and bold positioning won over her audience, and the singer followed with several more launches, including Reb'l Fleur flankers and new lines. Later, as she built her Fenty empire, she broadened her presence in beauty, and the Fenty brand released its own, more luxurious fragrance in 2021. Reb'l Fleur nonetheless remains Rihanna's first venture into perfume and the one that set her olfactory style: fruity, floral, gourmand and sensual, in the tradition of the celebrity scents of the 2000s and 2010s, with enough personality to stand apart.

Reb'l Fleur, Rihanna's only entry in our database, is a generous fruity chypre. Peach, plum and red berries open onto a heart of coconut, tuberose, hibiscus and violet, before a base of vanilla, patchouli, musk and amber. The effect is juicy, creamy and sensual, with patchouli warmth adding depth. It is a cheerful, confident evening scent, made to be noticed and to leave a clear, sweet trail behind it. Subtle it is not.
